             NRA CERTIFIED COURSES
                         

Use the PayPal button to complete your registration. All courses are taught using a .22 caliber revolver and semi-automatic handgun.

If a larger caliber handgun is requested, you must add that option during your registration and check out. You can add ONE additional caliber and a MAXIMUM of 100 rounds to your registration. Prices for this option have been adjusted to reflect current prices and market availability.

NRA Basic Pistol Course                       
Teaches comprehensive knowledge, skills and attitude of owning and operating a handgun safely. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, and course completion certificate. Courses will be conducted over 1 to two days; classroom instruction will be a minimum of one full day and range instruction will be approximately one hour.


Personal Protection in the Home
Teaches basic knowledge, skills and attitude essential for the safe and efficient use of a handgun for the protection of self and family. Includes  information on the law-abiding individual's right of self defense. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection In The Home handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, ... and course completion certificate.


NRA F.I.R.S.T.
   
(Firearm Instruction Responsibility Safety Training)
Teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude and fundamentals of firearm ownership and safety as well as safe handling of a handgun.  Students will learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; the particular pistol model parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and a FIRST Steps Course completion certificate (half day course plus range time).


NRA Home Firearm Safety                       
Handgun fundamentals and safety training including NRA’s rules for safe gun handling, the primary causes of firearms-related accidents, the parts of a firearm and components of ammunition, how to unload firearms and store them safely in the home, cleaning and care of firearms, and the benefits of and opportunities for skill development (half day course, no range time)



During the courses, we will use a .22 caliber revolver and semi-automatic handgun. Course fees include handgun rental (includes cleaning fees), ammunition, range fees and targets. 

Students are required to bring or rent their own hearing and eye protection. Beverages and light snacks will be provided during the classroom portion of the course.

Course registration confirmation will be sent to the email address provided. Separate registration is required for each student/attendee, no guests allowed.

Upon satisfactorily completing each course, a certificate of course completion will be provided to each student.  

  
ABSOLUTELY NO AMMUNITION IS ALLOWED IN ANY CLASSROOM PORTION OF THE COURSE. NO EXCEPTIONS.
 

Students of Paladin Firearms, LLC must read and accept the below RELEASE, WAIVER, INDEMNIFICATION, HOLD HARMLESS,AND ASSUMPTION OF THE RISK AGREEMENT.

We reserve the right to refuse training to anyone we believe is not competent to handle a firearm or, if in our judgment our instructor(s) believe that the training will result in using a firearm in an unlawful or unsafe manner.


No refunds for cancellations within one week of the scheduled course date. Cancellations are subject to a  $45.00 adminstrative Fee.
